I splurged yesterday - I bought strawberries. They were on sale and they looked so good. And now that I know how much it costs me to make Shortbread, I knew it was in my budget :)I tend to get in seasonal food ruts. During strawberry season I live on strawberry shortcake, blueberries plain when they are in season, homemade applesauce all fall – you get the point. It is really too early for good strawberries – but it is not too bad.
